Our goal is to find a permanent, loving home for all the animals we take in. All of the animals at PAWS will come to their new homes spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and treated for fleas and worms.
All of our adoptable pets are listed online (see below). Most are located in the shelter, but a few are in foster homes. If you want to meet one, stop by during open hours, or call or email and make an appointment to visit outside of open hours. You can bring your own dog for a meet and greet (just let us know ahead of time, please).
Adoption fees:
Our adoption fees help to cover some of the costs to care for the animals in our care and prepare them for adoption. The fees are subsidized by generous donors and foundation grants, providing an excellent value for the adopter.
Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinates.
- Puppies under 7 months $300, more for specialty breeds
- Small adult dogs under 25 pounds $200, more for specialty breeds
- Adult dogs over 25 pounds $160, more for specialty breeds
- Kittens under 7 months $120, more for specialty breeds
- Adult cats $70, more for specialty breeds
- Seniors for Seniors: Senior Citizens 65+ Discount
- Cats 7+ years old $49
- Dogs 7+ years old $99

The Adoption Process:
Download our adoption application below, or come to the shelter to fill it out.
During the adoption interview we will go over your application so we can better understand and guide you to the animal who will best fit your family. Adopting an animal is a commitment to love and care for that animal for the rest of it’s life.
Once you have selected the animal and an application has been approved we will coordinate the adoption.
When you get home, let us know how it is going. Many shelter animals have experienced trauma and will need a little extra care to adjust to their new home. We are here to help you through the process.
We have a 7 day return policy where you can return the pet for a full refund if it’s just not working out. But we will always accept back one of our animals, no matter how much time has passed.
