June 2013: Donations needed! We are in desperate need of dry dog and cat food for our pet food assistance for low income individuals program (cat food is most needed right now). Demand has more than doubled in the past year. Donations can be dropped off at the shelter (517 SE 3rd, Pendleton) Noon-4pm daily OR call 541-276-0181 and a volunteer will return your call to set up a time that might work better for you. We appreciate the generosity of our community!
Cans and Bottles accepted. We’ll take your returnable cans and bottles as a donation to the shelter. Drop them by the shelter (517 SE 3rd, Pendleton) Noon-4pm daily.
Thrift Store donations are also welcomed. Drop them by the Thrift Store building (203 SE Goodwin Ave) Monday-Friday9am-1pm.
Donations are needed for our Capital Campaign to build our PAWS
(Pendleton Animal Welfare Shelter)
Through donations and volunteers our PAWS building has progressed enough to finish our new roof, HVAC, wall framing, sheetrocking, and most of the plumbing and electrical. Thanks to a Petco grant, we recently completed our plumbing, electrical, doors, floors, and walls. Unfortunately this will deplete our Capital Campaign funds. We are raising money for future renovations, including equipment, cat condo purchase, and finishing out the back deck area. We are asking for you to please donate and support a wonderful cause that will benefit our communities. Pioneer Humane Society is a registered non-profit, and donations are tax deductable to the extent tax law allows.
We welcome any donation amout you choose. For large donations, naming opportunities are available for purchase. Your name/company name or designated memorial will be placed on a permanent plaque on a dog kennel or cat condo:
$5,000 for naming of dog kennel (all the dog kennels are named!!)
$3,500 for naming of cat condo
$250 for a brick on our wall of supporters
$100 for a paver in a outdoor walkway
In addition, we are seeking 6-10 community members who can commit to monthly support of $100-$250 to keep the shelter doors open. Ongoing operating expenses include land lease, utilities, and insurance costs.
To make a donation, please download and print the Donation Form from the link below, or you may pick it up at our office.
